A 19th century building and a few smaller industrial annexes used to cover this entire parcel of land. The main building had undergone many past formations and was in deplorable condition.

The brief called for significant renovations to house a young couple with three children. Various independent entrances were required: One for the art studio, another one for a private office on the ground floor and a third one for the house itself.

A large portion of the annex industrial building was torn down, opening up the space for a generous garden in the midst of this densely built neighborhood. The main building was freed of many inside partitions to offer more natural light and perspectives onto the new garden.
